Then add as much new oil back into the compressor as you took out of the old compressor. Using a fresh measuring device, drain the oil from the new compressor following the steps above. Step 3 Drain the oil from the new compressor Tilt the compressor back and forth several times while doing this to drain out as much oil as possible. Wait a few minutes for the remaining oil to drain down, then rotate the compressor shaft one-half turn every minute, for up to three minutes as you continue to drain and measure. Tilt the compressor to drain any oil from the suction and discharge ports. Remove the compressor crankcase drain plug and pour the oil into a measuring cup. Be careful not to spill any oil as you remove the compressor. Remove the retaining bolts and remove the compressor from the vehicle. Then disconnect the AC lines from the compressor. Step 2 Remove the old compressor, drain and measure If you overfill, you’ll dramatically reduce cooling. If you underfill, you’ll cause premature compressor piston/seal and valve failure. Skip this step and you risk under/overfilling the system with oil. Because you’ll have to add that same amount back into the system before you refill it. It’s important to recover the refrigerant for environmental reasons, but it’s even more important to recover it to find out how much oil came out of the system. It’s illegal to vent refrigerant into the atmosphere, so you should pay a shop to evacuate, recover, and measure how much oil came out. Step 1 Evacuate any remaining refrigerant and measure how much oil came out with it. The oil in the compressor crankcase lubricates the metal moving parts, while the oil in the system is carried by the refrigerant to lubricate the compressor’s pistons and valves. There’s oil inside the compressor crankcase and oil throughout the AC system. You can replace an auto AC compressor yourself as long as you make sure you’ve added the correct amount of oil. If the AC compressor has failed on your vehicle and you want to replace it yourself, here are some tips from the pros. In this post we have included some of the incredible images that utilized fisheye lenses. This perspective mode has a fixed field of view of 180°. With circular subjects, its nearly impossible to detect any fisheye distortion, yet the fisheye is often the only way to include the entire dome in the frame. Fisheye Lens History The fisheye lens has roots dating back to 1906. The images they create are highly distorted, giving them a dynamic, abstract feel. Of course you need a pair of scissors to cut of the and attach the peephole door viewer to your camera lens.To show you some examples of the amazing photos, we show to you 44 Odd Perspectives of Fisheye Photography. Whereas linear perspective projects straight 3d lines to straight 2d lines, fisheye perspective projects them to curved 2d lines. A fisheye lens, also called an ultra-wide or super-wide lens, is a type of wide-angle lens that captures an extremely wide photo, typically around 180. Although I'm a duct tape girl, in this tutorial I would prefer that you use electrical tape instead due to the stretchability of the following and it is also easier to remove if you no longer desire to use the fisheye lens than using a sticky duct tape. You may need to check first the size of the lens of your chosen camera so that you have an idea what size of peephole door viewer you would need to purchase. Array of object points, 1xN/Nx1 3-channel (or vector ), where N is the number of points in the view.Luckily I was able to acquire this and it was on sale. I bought my door viewer a couple days ago but I was quite busy to do any of this because of summer class. However in my case I used a digital point-and-shoot camera, since I want to see the outcome immediately. We would only need to cover up the lens of the camera with a size compatible peephole door viewer. As its name indicates, it is based on how a fish would see things beneath the surface of the water, with an ultra-wide hemispherical view of everything in front of it. You can choose old analogue cameras because the process of achieving the effect is applicable to both analogue and digital. An amazing level of writing talent to come from one family. The McIlvanney brothers, Hugh and William (and William’s son, Liam) were from Kilmarnock, my home town. McIlvanney on Football by Hugh McIlvanney It’s the best book ever written about what it means to dedicate your life to one team, through thick and thin. Hornby doesn’t hold back from elucidating how irrational the life of a football fan can become as the fixtures begin to govern his own relationships with those close to him. The club begins to fill an emotional hole in his young life as his parents’ relationship fractures. Hornby’s memoir details his obsessional relationship with a football club that wouldn’t have been his obvious geographical choice. Nick Hornby at Arsenal’s Highbury football ground in 2005. When Jimmy Rabbitte Sr ploughs his unemployment money into a rundown fish-and-chip van, he unwittingly inspires the writing of every one of my books. In this case, the Irish national team’s extraordinary World Cup finals performance at Italia ’90 provides the canvas for a portrait of tender, middle-aged friendship. Perhaps a surprising addition to the team sheet but The Van captures the unfettered joy of an unexpected cup run. Tom has an intuitive natural playing ability but, as he grapples with repressed sexuality and the isolation of being far from home and family, his un- natural-ness as a footballer becomes apparent. The book concentrates on the devastating fall that many young players experience being released or sent out on loan to the lower divisions after the early promise fails to materialise. It tackles homophobia – the one remaining taboo in football – with a sensitivity that’s brilliantly nuanced. George Best may have recklessly squandered his genius, while Duncan Edwards had his tragically stolen, but Burn’s beautiful, elegiac writing elevates them both to legendary figures of a country that changed dramatically in the decade between their respective emergences as star players for Manchester United in the 50s and 60s. The story follows Lennie Hawk, still at school but already showing the ability of a future England international. The book’s depiction of the red brick back courts of northern England – and of the early 60s social context – is brilliant, and the characters are realistically flawed. It’s less well known than A Kestrel For a Knave and I’m perhaps the only person in the world who thinks it’s better. Insomnia takes hold and the Clough of the novel struggles to understand why the skills and practices that made him a brilliant football player – prior to career-ending injury – and then a mercurial manager, have apparently deserted him. Peace’s masterful novel depicting the 44-day tenure of Brian Clough as manager of Leeds United depicts how his paranoia and loneliness (and irrationality) grow with his increasing isolation. So, in that spirit, here are the 10 still on the field as the final whistle blows. It should have been 11, but Ayrshire Junior football teams always get one sent off early for dissent. Unknown Nightwolf sprite, but perhaps it was meant for his holy light Fatality? Nightwolf swinging an axe with no green glow applied to it. The mouth moving sprites also go with this, which seems to imply that Motaro was going to have a taunt where he spoke or simply speak at the end of the round. This was used in Mortal Kombat Trilogy as, appropriately, his throw move. Looks like Motaro was going to throw the opponent over his head. Seems to go with the other front leg raising sprites. It also seems to have been meant to be used in combination with the teleportation move. Could have been meant for a victory pose. Perhaps evidence that Motaro was meant to be a playable character? This was eventually used for Motaro's win screen when beating the game in Mortal Kombat Trilogy (except the N64 version). This was later used for Classic Sub-Zero's friendship in Mortal Kombat Trilogy, as a variant of jack-in-the-box Friendship that Scorpion and Reptile had in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. This was later used for Ermac's Animality in Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Perhaps evidence that the ninjas were planned for inclusion at one point. I ordered it on Monday with Prime and it delivered on Friday as the wrong model! They sent out the right one two days later. I'd prefer to keep the monitor since there are no dead pixels (yet). I There is also a slight dimming of everything on the left and right sides versus the center area. The BLB is somewhat asymmetrical, which makes black on the right side great, and on the left not so good. However there is the oh so common back light bleed. I checked for bad pixels/subpixels using red, green, blue, black, white full screens. I don't know how well they honor their warranty, but it states that if there is a single dead/bright pixel they will replace the monitor within 3 years of purchase. I settled on an AOC monitor because of their warranty. I read reviews of monitors on Amazon (including the ones listed in this thread) and was scarred off because of the bad units and bad warranties. Pick your poison, the bold ones could be in your budget. 32" IPS maybe in 2020, it's definitely better than 27" but they don't sell them in 100Hz+ monitors yet. Hard to say which one is worth buying especially at the bottom budget. In my signature are threads about monitors and lists of recent ones. You really should have better luck with the flat variant that they released much later. The curving along with other issues ruins those Samsung panels. Thanks.Ĭlick to expand.Yeah that's the junker, Samsung C27HG70, had 5 returned them all, other people had even 10 and never got an acceptable unit. I'm leaning towards Samsung but that monitor is $500. Update: From what I've read, all manufacturers have terrible customer support. They say they will replace a monitor with just one dark/bright pixel up to 3 or 4 years after purchase depending on model. Update: AOC offers the best dead pixel warranty. LG requires a minimum of 12 bright or dead pixels for a warranty claim. Black Dot Defect requires a minimum of 7 dots for warranty claim within the standard warranty period.īenQ requires 2 bright pixels or 5 dead pixels for warranty claim. Samsung Policy: Zero Bright Dot Defect policy is good only within first first 7 days after purchase. I also ad a bad experience with a MSI RMA but that was a long time ago. I've read bad things about MSI in regards to their warranty responses. MSI DOT Policy: (Bright Dot > 3 Dots, Bright dot gap =15mm) (Dark Dot > 5 Dots) I've narrowed down my choice to the following based on specs, without regard to the policies. I would consider buying an additional warranty against the defects. I'm looking for the best zero dead pixel policy. I've never seen a dead pixel on a reputable brand monitor, but the concept of having one seems ridiculous. I'm looking for a new monitor and I've noticed that the monitor market is a complete pile of crap right now. |
