![]() To set a custom ringtone, you need to use GarageBand to import your custom ringtone, edit it, save it and only then will it appear as an option to be set as your ringtone. But the customisation options in iOS are highly limiting. But I don’t really miss that because I haven’t got the time like before. I did play around with launchers and custom icons and custom ROMs in Android. The whole iTunes software thing to transfer files is not comforting for me. I’ve heard people bring up the security reason for this kind of hassle, but this is way more time consuming for a simple task. You need to have an app that can open that file type installed on your iPhone and then using iTunes, you can copy that file to the permitted space for that app. ![]() For example, if you want to transfer a video from your computer to an iPhone, you can’t copy the file to the Downloads folder or your internal storage like in android directly. Since iOS doesn’t have shared storage for apps, it gets complicated when you need to transfer different file types. One of the biggest turn offs is the File management in iOS. Say what you want, iOS is still struggling to match Android in this aspect. Pretty clumsy in my opinion and replying to texts through notifications is not as simple as in Android. It shows the latest texts from a person at the top, so I’ve to read multiple texts from a person from the bottom up. The way iOS handles notifications is inferior to Android. ![]() I had been an android user for years until I switched to iOS 2 months back.
